i am not so sure that any cotton regardless of density will protect against dust mites but there are plastic covers for mattresses which completely encase the mattress and i think that might be what you need. but don’t forget the pillow. that is where your head lays for hopefully eight hours. i purchased both mattress cover and pillow covers at walmart. also there is a febreze product that helps with dust mites.
