The bed bugs and their biting (and my itching) are waking me up every so many hours at night. I dred going to sleep and I can’t stay sleep for very long. I know this an epidemic right now, but does anyone know how i can kill them or at least reduce them, or stop them from biting me? The (bed bug) spray seems to only be a temporary fix. P.S. I can’t afford professional exterminators.

Ok so this morning at like 8 I woke up to a creepy crawly feeling on me neck only to find it was a giant roach. Now I am not the average person who might be a little grossed out by bugs…i am TERRIFIED of them..and honestly who wouldn’t be freaked out by a giant reach crawling on them. The thing is it wasn’t just on the floor, it was on my body and my bed where I have to sleep which made it 10x worse.

To give you an idea of just how terrified i am of bugs…I killed it (out of rage for being on my bed, because i usually can’t muster up the courage to kill bugs) and then had to call someone on the phone in tears while I spent like an hour and a half trying to get rid of the dead carcass which I was so sure was going to somehow come back to life. I know I know ‘they can’t hurt you they’re smaller than you blah blah blah’ but in the moment my mind doesn’t process all that logic.

I took a shower and haven’t been in the room since…or went back to sleep -_-. Later I will change the sheets but basically my question is how do I get rid if these freaking bugs?! The exterminator has been in twice and although there are less of them it seems like the reaches have become bigger and more gross looking. now don’t get me wrong my apartment isn’t dirty or anything I’m actually very anal about cleanliness but I think its because there is some remodeling going on in another apartment and the stupid bugs need a new home.

So any ideas..not raid because that doesn’t work…maybe something I can put under the crack in the door so the reaches will be deterred from coming into my room…or in between small cracks and in cabinets, etc.

Is there any Medical treatment for dust mites like enlarge injection or bills … so on
Because I have a big problem with them and what makes this worse the places that I sleep in because I can’t go home every time to sleep. So is there any way to get like a medicine or injection to prevent that.
Yeah I do that to my room but the problem is with that hotels rooms even the best hotels still have this problem. That’s why I’m looking for medical treatment so is there any thing like cream, bill or injections for that. The cost is not important.

A couple of months ago I started waking up with bug bites which itch, they look like mosquito bites. The weirdest thing is that my spouse does not and we sleep in the same bed! I changed the bed sheets, sprayed bug spray around our bedroom, and every other morning I still wake up with a new bug bite. Again, only I get these itchy things that look like a mosquito bites and Im starting to think I have bugs in my body.
Can anyone give me a medical explanation for this? Is this normal or do I have human lice???
the bites that i get are more like mosquito bites and they appear in random places on my body(like i have one on the tip of my nose and another on my leg and two on my arm) NOT in groups of 3-4. And they are red bumps, there is not sign of an actual bite.

I was just curious to know if dust mites are on me, or simply on my furniture, and if they are on me, how many are there on average at a given time, and why don’t I feel them as they eat my skin? And would the dust mites on me be killed when I shower or bathe, or be crushed when I toss and turn in my sleep?

im staying at a friends place and will be moving out in 2 days. I noticed that there are tiny black bugs here …they look like fleas? they jump around when i try to kill them or when i press on them hard. Im really paranoid about this. I have my blanket, pillows, suit case with clothes and a big lunch bag here. What should i do with these ?? How would i clean it!!!!

So, I just found this can of soda in my room near my window sill. When I went to pick it up, tons of ants came crawling out of the top. So I grabbed the copy of tuck everlasting off my night stand and abruptly covered the top of the can. After that I brought the can outside and chucked it across my yard. When I went back into my house, there were about 10 ants on my window sill. And mind you, these are fairly large ants. As soon as I saw the ants, I immediately burst into tears and made my dad get the bug killing spray and spray my room. So what I am trying to get across here is, I was wondering if anybody had the same fear of ants, If so how do you cope, and I was also wondering if this is a normal fear for a fifteen year old girl. I just want to know how to fix my fears so I can actually get some sleep without the thought of a million ants infesting my ears and crawling in my sheets. Talk about your regular bed bugs! Anyways, help me if you can, please. Thank you.

Last week I found that I have bed bugs. I automatically knew it was my neighbor – I live in a condo building. My neighbor is an old man who has clutter EVERYWHERE. His place is a wreak. He has multiple rental units and brings stuff that people left to his place. It’s just plain nasty. I had an exterminator come yesterday to spray and he also had to check my neighbors place, who happened to have hundreds behind his headboard and his place was covered in black droppings. The exterminator found about 30 live ones in my place. Who knows how long he had them. My HOA is forcing my neighbor to have his place professionally cleaned,even though he wanted to do it himself. My question is, I know I got them from him but I can’t prove it. Is there any legal action I can take if they come back again? He’s a dirty old man and I know this is going to happen again in a matter of time when he continues bringing things and strange characters into his place. Is my only option to move??
This is a CONDO, not an apartment. I own this place, as well as my neighbor. I don’t have a landlord but I do have a HOA, home owners association. I am responsible for my extermination costs unfortunetly since I’m an owner. The exterminator said he can’t prove it, but it’s more than likely since he is infested worse than I am. Luckily I’m staying at my parents, where i can actually get a good nights sleep.

Okay, I don’t have bedbugs, but I’m worried that I’ll get them. If I get them, before calling the exterminators over should I sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag or does it not matter? I don’t want those creepy bugs getting anywhere near me.

I have a possible bed bug infestation, and my personal items are at risk. I’m especially worried about my Death Note L plush (here’s a link to the plush on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Death-Note-L-Plush-GE-7051/dp/B001A15GWK

I’m not sure if he can survive any type of machine washing or drying, but how else can I kill possible bed bug eggs? Sealing him in a plastic bag seems possible, but I’ve read that bed bugs take forever to die (they’re eggs are hardy too). Any personal experiences or suggestions with washing plush dolls would be helpful.

I’m losing sleep over this. Curse those bugs!

I just saw a bug on my blanket…it was really tiny and brown. I smashed it before I could even really compare it to a picture of a bed bug. I googled the image, and I’m not sure if it was the same thing.

I took my blanket, searched…took off my bed sheets and looked in the cracks of the mattress but found nothing.

Now I’m afraid to sleep lol

I am the only person in my house thats being bitten. I haven’t seen any bugs, but I’ve got bites all over the back of my thigh, the left of my thigh, and my lower back. 3 Other people live in this house and nothing bites them. I sleep in the livingroom, on the couch, and it seems like when i’m sitting at my computer, or sitting on my couch, i’m constantly itching, and later bites seem to appear. I can sometimes feel them on me, but I don’t know if I’m psyching myself out or not, and everytime i check to see if theres a bug, theres nothing there. I’ve tried bug bombing, I’ve tried bed bug sprays, I’ve tried flea bombing/sprays. I can’t seem to find any bugs. Some of the bites get infected and become really painful. I can’t take it anymore, I might have to move out of my apartment due to this. Please let me know if you have an idea of what might be bitting me, and how to get rid of it! Thanks.

I wondered if anyone knows of a spray I can use that would get rid of them, if there are any in the mattress I bought. Is it likely fleas can get into the mattress? I am worried as its my 8 year old daughter that has to sleep in it and I dont want her to get bitten. I want to get rid of them before she sleeps in it. We dont have any pets so is it impossible for them to survive in our house anyway?

lol, ok so last night my sister and I went to sleep and we were talking about scary bug stories; next thing you know there is a tick in her bed!! We’re total city girls so it was a hasel to fall asleep since we both were panicing about any other bugs inside of the guest bedroom. We had no way to kill the bugs since there wasnt any bug spray and ontop of that the residue bug sprays leave behind isnt so pleasent. If anyone knows anything about keeping bugs out of our home, please help!! Ever since then, I’ve been losing a lot of sleep and I even spent a whole day (I should have been studying for my Algebra test! I ended up getting a 48!) looking up information about bed bugs. Every night or in my case, morning (I usually go to sleep between 2-4:30am) I spray my pillow, mattress, pillowcase, covers, between my mattress and box spring, curtains, and in little holes around my window with 91% alcohol. I usually end up using anywhere from 20-30 oz. of alcohol every morning! The fumes are no joke, but I’ve survived them so far, thank God! Luckily, I haven’t been bit, but I feel like I’m over doing it. Before I spray, I always do a through inspection of everything I listed above and I haven’t seen anything. How hazardous are the alcohol fumes? I heard that bed bugs don’t like borax and I thought about putting some between my mattress and box spring. Do you think that will decrease my need for the excessive amounts of alcohol I’ve been using? Also, I just read that taking vitamin B1-B-Complex could keep them and other bugs at bay…I wonder if this really works! With the exception of calling an exterminator (I REALLY DON’T HAVE THE MONEY), I want to know if you could give me additional ideas on keeping them at bay. Thanks so much for your time and effort in advance! I got the alcohol idea from my cousin. They had bed bugs in their apartment building and they sprayed everthing down with alcohol and they haven’t had any ever since!

okay, well this morning, i brushed my teeth, washed up and then came back to my room and BAM, there was a cricket thing on my wall next to my bed. It wasn’t really a cricket since it didn’t make any chirping sounds, but i don’t know. well, i call my mom to kill it but when she got there, the bug disappeared(this happens to me like ALL the time).
and now it’s in my room somewhere(there’s actually 2 bugs, but i’ll figure the 2nd bug out later)
I have a messy room, so i’m definatly cleaning my room once every week if it makes the bugs go away. now the real problem is, I will NOT sleep in my room until i know that those two bugs are DEAD. i mean, i had school and stuff so the bug could’ve crawled its way out of my room by now, but how am I going to find it? How can i attract them so I can kill it in one shot? Will food do? Or lights?
oh yeah, and I’m deathly afraid of bugs. I hate hate HATE them. D:

it started in the living room moved up to are sleeping rooms first it was bitting my sister and then it moved on to were i sleep i have tried almost everything i have smoke bomb my room with poison and my sisters room i have tried poison powder all around the room i threw away are couch and the frame base of the bed.we now sleep with are lights on but yesterday i Finally caught two one was surpassingly in my computer bag i took it to work and it was really small i caught it killed it the other was in my room it was pretty big so i pit it in a cup.every day i wake up with this fucking large bites that itch we have tried to get the manager to hire someone to exterminate them but it did not work,and today im going to home depot to search for some spray or poison for bed bugs.if this does not work im going to go insane and burn the whole building down see if that kills this fucking things.does any one know any good poison or spray or things you did to get rid of them…

We live in a apartment with two bedrooms. We’ve been suffering with these bed bugs for a while now but its a low infestation. We cleaned everything and killed them and their eggs. We even put the Results Insect Killer powder with silicone dioxide and pyrethrin everywhere. To test if the powder works we put the bugs in a cup and put the powder, it has been a day put they still haven’t died except they have slowed down and just squiggle around. The bugs are in the living room and the MB and my parent’s room is right in between both of them, but has no sign of any bugs or bites or anything. They’ve totally skipped the room right in between. How is that possible? How do i get rid of them?

We’re also moving soon into a town house soon so how do i prevent them from traveling to the other house with us? We’re thinking of Bell Environmental Services, but should we call them now or in the new house?
PLEASE HELP US SLEEP AGAIN!!!

I RECENTLY FOUND A WORM LIKE BUT ON MY BLANKET I THREW IT OUT AND DIDNT THINK ANYTHING OF IT. THEN A WEEK LATER I FOUND ANOTHER ONE AND WENT SEARCHING FOR WHERE IT COULD HAVE BEEN COMING FROM. WHAT I FOUND WAS EXTREAMLY FURRY WORM LIKE BUGS IT THE CREASE OF MY PILLOW TOP MATTRESS. THEY VARIED IN SIZE FROM ABOUT A CM TO A 1/4 INCH. THEY ARE WHITE WITH BLACK AT THE HEAD AND TAIL NO OTHER COLOR. THEY ARE VERY SLOW MOVING. IN ONE CORNER OF THE BED I ALSO FOUND WHAT LOOKED LIKE CASINGS FROM WHICH THEY SHED. THERE WAS ABOUT AS MANY CASINGS AS I FOUND BUGS. THE CASING WERE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A HALF GRAIN OF RICE AND YELLOWISH IN COLOR. I KILLED ALL THAT I FOUND. WHICH WHEN I KILLED THEM ALL THEY DID WAS FLATTEN. I LIVE IN NJ. MIGHT U KNOW WHAT THESE BUGS ARE AND HOW I CAN GET FID OF THEM? I THINK HAVE RULED OUT MANY OF THE USUAL SUBJECTS. FROM WHAT I HAVE RESEARCHED SO FAR THEM RESEMBEL THE CARPET BETTLE MOSTLY HOWEVER THEY DID NOT SEEM TO HAVE COLORFUL STIPES. I DO NOT NORMALLY HAVE FOOD IN MY BEDROOM AND THE SPOT I FOUND THE CASINGS IN WAS ON THE SIDE OF MY BED I DO NOT SLEEP ON (I HAVE A QUEEN SIZE BED) AND ALWAYS UNDER A BATTERY OF PILLOWS. i just noticed them a month ago. i live in a one bedroom apartment with my small pomeranian. They have infested the couch and bed, which are the main places i have seen them. I told my apartment manager and at first they said they would take care of the problem. Now they are saying if i want them out, i have to pay for it. I haven’t gotten any new furniture and honestly i dont know where they came from. they are driving me crazy because they are biting me and my dog. I can’t even bear to sit on the couch, but i can’t stop the dog from doing so. I put mattress covers on my bed and they seem to be helping in my room, but the living room is another story. I dont have the money for an exterminator, plus i only have 2 months on my lease. I have already found another place, and i know i have to take special precautions when moving.
I just don’t have the funds to pay for two places at the same time if i move. last night, i got so fed up wit them i went to my parents. i washed the dog thoroughly and dried him on high heat with a blow dryer. I washed and dried my clothes and immediately threw them and the dog in the car and ran for cover to my parents. I read articles on how not to take them with you, and they say you need to wash and dry your clothes and other items. Anything above 113F will kill them. I haven’t been able to sleep because i know they are just waiting for me. i average about 3 hours of sleep a night, and i am seriously abusing coffee. Anyways if you guys were in my situation , what would you seriously do? Give me a step by step procedure. I cant stand these things at all. they are driving me crazy, i need help
not to mention i cant even spend time with the dog because i know she has been sitting on the couch for hours accumulating them. she wants to sleep with me , but i am afraid she willl bring them in my bed again. she scratches at the door and i feel really bad. i can’t wash her everyday b4 bed..ya know!

i found bed bugs on my mattress and bed frame last night, so today i went out and bought a couple cans of otc lice/bed bug spray and sprayed all over the carpet around my bed, mattress, frame, head board, and walls with the spray. lets say i soaked everything, and i have a bunk bed so i sprayed everything up there too. but i didn’t see any signs of bugs up there, i don’t think they woudl be on top though cause no one has slept up there in years.
i even threw away my pillows that i sleep on every night.

i am not, at least not planning on gettin rid of the mattress. don’t know if they’re gone yet, but does this sound good enough to you?

and yes i washed the sheets in hot water.

lots of bed bugs. I do not have carpet in the floor. but there are cracks in the floor. i tried to spray "raid" but it didn’t worked. also i tried to use rubbing alcohol to kill some of them but……that only kill those which can be seen. but it do not kill all of them which are hiding and those i can’t see. please friend help me. Yesterday I noticed a little bug on my bed. It was tiny and was black with white wavy markings. At first it looked similar to a ladybug but it was the wrong color. I killed it and it made a crunchy noise so I am guessing it had a hard shell. I didn’t think much of it until later on I saw another one on my bed and I killed it as well. Now I am grossed out and refuse to sleep on my bed. I need to know what they are and how to get rid of them. Thanks for your help.
