My stepfather started making me lie on the floor, and i was bit in my leg last night, and it swelled up a little bit and was gone in the morning. I asked my mom what it was and she said it might be dust mites. Can it be true? Plus if the bite, is it dangerous?

While laying in bed last night I kept itching my shoulder. I have 8 tiny bites. A cluster of 4 1 stands alone and a row of 3. I’ve never had bed bugs so I really do t know what they look like. I don’t seem to have any other bites anywhere else. I also just checked my bed and I don’t see anything. A few weeks ago I had this little things that my Mom said were a type of Beatles in my room.

Lately I have been finding black bugs in my bed. They are little but I only find like one or two on my blanket. I took off my sheets today and washed them. I looked in all the creases and anywhere they could hid in my matress and I can’t find any bugs. What do I do to get rid of them? and are they bed bugs?
Well I do have bug bites on my legs but my mom said they were from mosquitos.

When I was little of course like every kid they catch it at school. It took me and my mom forever to get rid of it. I don’t recall what worked cuz I wasn’t that old. But now that I am almost 20 some how I caught it again don’t know where. I have tried rid which killed the bugs then olive oil to loosen the nits but im not sure all the nits are gone so whats the next step.

And yes I have swept the floors washed everything even sprayed the bed down.

My apartment is a real messss.. I try to clean but it get messy again within barely 3 days, and its discouraging because there is so much cleaning to do, once in a while bugs to kill, bed just broke lol.. well basically yea theres so much to do.. and my mom is coming in about a month in a half.. yikess..

So for a few weeks now almost every night I find a single bug crawling around (quite quickly) in my bed always on my sheets. And every night when I find it I capture it in a tissue and stab it through the tissue and it’s blood and crap pops out the I flush it. It’s like the size of a tic I think, and has the appearance of a head lice bug a little bit but is of course much bigger. Ik it’s not bed bugs because for one I’d be waking up with many bites and I don’t think I’ve had any bites. Plus I’m pretty sure bed bugs are too small to see with the naked eye. I’ve tried washing my sheets, blankets, pillows, pillow cases, and the stuffed animals on my bed, I even got completely new bedding and everything and nothings worked and I really am not comfortable with finding a strange bug in my bed every night does anybody know what this might be and know what I can do?!?! I just killed one like 5 minutes ago please help me!! my mom hasn’t known what to do either we’ve been spraying my bed with hair spray that’s the same brand as the shampoo I started using for a while when I was little to get rid o head lice (Paul Mitchell is the brand) I’ve never had lice since btw so if you are readin this and happen to have lice, use that stuff. The store treatments and mayonnaise don’t work. But anyway, please help me

okay, i should give some background cause dreams are of the subconscious mind. i don’t exactly have a home. and im having trouble shortening my life already and i havent even started. i dont live with my parents, i havent lived with my mom since i was 9 and i havent lived with my dad since i was 14. ever since then i have lived in foster homes and programs and dss. just a few years back i lived with my moms old best friend. i was very close to her so felt like a mom to me but it became a dependent abusive relationship where she made me do everything for her and mentally and emotionally abused me. so on july 4th of last summer i finally left her. ever since then i felt like i havent had a home. im 19 now. i live with my aunt but im never home. all my stufff is basically in thee back hallway and the rest is in my cousins room. and when i sleep at home i sleep in his bed and he sleeps on the couch. he bugs me about wanting his room back all the time. so i stay at my boyfriends house 6 nights a week. my boyfriend is the best thing thats ever happened to me. i love him so much and we mutually want to be together forever. i know things dont usually last forever but our relationship is the only strong solid thing we both have in our lives. our year anniversary is coming up on december 9th. anyways, we both are trying to get an apartment together soon. i have a job at target but im not sure if im gonna keep it after the holidays. he has a minimum wage job too. but i also get triple the money he makes cuz i get dss money every 2 weeks. i make about 1300 a month. and he makes 800. like i said im bad at shortening my life.
the dream: i was at his house but it wasnt really his house. but it was suppose to be. and i went to go lie down in bed. not our bed, his moms bed. and after laying in bed for a few minutes, i realized there were all dead cockroaches, well so i thought they were cockroches. i got up and brushes them all off me. they felt so like hard, like little pieces of rock stuck to me. then theyre was one cockroach, which im sure was a cockroach alive. i had to get that off of me too. i started screaming and flipping out.to who, i dont actually know. that wasnt important in the dream. then a bug that looked like a small spider but with really long skinny legs (not as long as a daddy long legs) flew over to me and planted a chip under my skin. it had almost like a sneaky government feeling. like i was being controlled or watched by someone. cuz someone had to be behind the "chip." then i woke up.
i was and am still very very disturbed. i cant shake off the sensation of bugs being on me or on the bed. im so disgusted and i know this has to mean something. when i searched what cockroaches looked like, the dead bugs were no cockroaches, but that one alive one was. im not very good at bugs or how they look different from each other. i just know if its a bug, kill it. so all the dead cockroaches were actually dead grasshoppers. so what does this mean? if anyone can help?

My neice seem to have gotten a weird rash with bumps all over her arms, and it slowly spread to some other parts of her body. Well about a day later my son got bumps all over his arms and it slowly spread to some other body parts. About two days after that, my husband got bumps all over his body but they vary how they look, they look like mosquito bites but all over his arms, and some look kinda like small pimples, and my sons look that way too. I took them both to the hospital and they said they all got chicken pox. Well then a day after my husband got it, I got it, I have bumps all over my arms and it’s slowly spreading to other parts of my body. Now I believe they are bed bugs bites because we recently moved into a new home and about a week ago when we woke up in our room we saw some bed bugs crawling on the walls and when we killed them they were full of blood. Now it does look like chicken pox but it also looks like bed bugs and it’s kinda a coincidence that we all got it this way (oh and the neice lives with us with her mom, and her mom doesn’t have it), I know the pox travel by air but still if anyone could tell me a difference then I might be able to figure out what is going on.

My mom was visiting my sister in L.A, and got totally attacked by bed bugs. She was supposed to drive to Phoenix today to stay with me for a week. When she told me about the BBs I told her she could not come. She seemed a little put out. Am i buying into the hype and overreacting? Ok, so I was taking a nap in my bed, when all of a sudden I felt something crawling on my hand. When I looked, I screamed (lol, I’m VERY afraid of bugs) and I shook it off my hand. I got up and it landed on my pillow so I started to look for my glasses so I could see it and get rid of the bug. Welll, I couldn’t find my glasses so I ran outside to my dad. He was talking to my neighbor so I waited, and when we finally went back in my room it was gone.
Anyway, we couldn’t find it, and right now I’m cleaning up my room.

What could the maggot-like thing be? It was sorta fat, not very long (about a centimeter), orange-ish-white and I don’t think it could fly. Oh, btw, I do eat in my room, it’s really hot in here (although I have the ceiling fan on), and it’s sorta messy, because I’m in the process of "reorganizing" my room.

What could this bug be and how can I prevent more from hatching? And also, how can I kill or lure the bug(s) away naturally? Any advice is great.
oh, btw, I only saw one.

also, I saw a fruit fly (or gnat?? those little flies with the red centers) in my room because my mom threw out some bananas and my sister left my door open so it got in…. If that means anything…

My mom has been getting bitten in lots of different places by what we think are bed bugs. She’s been bitten where her arm folds when she flexes her arms, her belly button, her sides, etc. We’ve tried a bunch of different bed bug sprays and powders, but she’s still getting bitten! My father MAY be getting bitten, but he hasn’t said anything about it, and my brother used to get bitten but doesn’t as much anymore. I haven’t gotten bitten yet… Anyways, my mom is really distressed by these bed bugs and we don’t know how to get rid of them!

Additional Info: We have three bedrooms, my parents have a walk-in closet, we have an entry room, a living room, and a kitchen and dining room that are all connected with no doors, and a family room, a laundry room, three small bathrooms, and a garage. Also, we have a cockatiel and two mice, if that has anything to do with this mysterious biting thing. Help is appreciated! Thanks!
BTW, we already soaked everything in hot water, vacummed, washed, sprayed, powdered – everything we could think of!!!!!

I am extremely paranoid of the bed bug epidemic going around. We don’t have many travellers/guests in our house and it’s just me, my mom, and my dad. However, my mom’s job involves working with underprivileged clients and a couple of them have bed bugs. She goes into their homes very rarely, but she transports them in her car that has leather seats. I’m just wondering if bed bugs could transfer onto her clothes or car?

If they did something "useful" like eat crabgrass or weeds in the yard, or if they ate house spiders, silverfish, nats, flys, ants…..it’s kind of pathetic.

What is your opinions, thoughts and experiences with these pests. My mother told me that her mom use to brush the wood bed slats with egg whites and that kept the Bed Bugs away. She did this at the end of winter into early spring. Have you heard anything like that??

okay, well this morning, i brushed my teeth, washed up and then came back to my room and BAM, there was a cricket thing on my wall next to my bed. It wasn’t really a cricket since it didn’t make any chirping sounds, but i don’t know. well, i call my mom to kill it but when she got there, the bug disappeared(this happens to me like ALL the time).
and now it’s in my room somewhere(there’s actually 2 bugs, but i’ll figure the 2nd bug out later)
I have a messy room, so i’m definatly cleaning my room once every week if it makes the bugs go away. now the real problem is, I will NOT sleep in my room until i know that those two bugs are DEAD. i mean, i had school and stuff so the bug could’ve crawled its way out of my room by now, but how am I going to find it? How can i attract them so I can kill it in one shot? Will food do? Or lights?

Bugs make me cringe!! Water-bugs/cockroaches,silverfish and beetles! The reason why I hate those bugs they look and sound disgusting! I am always scared of a bug getting in my bed and waking up on me! I always was scared of bugs. I am so scared even if I hear or see a cockroach I run in my room, close the door, put a towel on the crack of the door, call my mom’s cellphone and tell her to kill it and until she does that I would never come out!

First of all are exterminator use to come every 6th months but now its July and our exterminator hasn’t came to our house since December!

I started having this phobia when I was sitting on the couch and a silverfish crawled on my arm! I was so terrified that I was crying and screaming took off my clothes jump into the shower and scrubbed my arm so hard my arm was red. After that bugs were everywhere! There were water-bugs and silverfish in the sink and tub that now I am scared to look at the tub and sink! Then with the roach and beetles, my aunt had a bad case of roaches and they were everywhere in the tub,toilet, even the cabinet! One day I opened up the cabinet an roaches fell on me! I started crying and stayed in the car!

I hate bugs with hard shells cause when you step on them they sound all crunchy and gooey stuff comes out of it that makes me scared to even kill it! Plus they are so fast and they can get everywhere!! I have to overcome my fear because bugs are everywhere there isn’t going to be one place where they isn’t bugs even in hotels! It is horrible living like this! I scared to sit on the floor, sit on the couch, put my feet on the ground, I can’ wear my shoes without thinking there is a bug in it so I have to check it, I can’t go outside, I can’t leave the door open without hurrying up and close it, I can’t even tumble outside without thinking I am going to land on a bug!! Okay so my gf just broke the news that her mom found bed bugs in her room. Now i feel COMPLETELY paranoid about going to her house or her coming to mine because she or i may transport these DISGUSTING things. I just now checked my mattress and i know i dont have them! My mom-in-law rented a living room set from rent-a-center, it was infested with those nasty bedbugs. She suffered with bites and allergic reactions for several weeks before they figured out what it was. Is there any way she can get her $ back for the rental of the furniture? Of course she’s having them come take it back immediately. But how do we make sure there aren’t any left behind?

My boyfriend was getting changed and when i looked down i saw a small beetle looking bug, it was dim so i squished it and we went to bed. In the morning we looked at the bug, and it was a bed bug. The day before that, i noticed 3 red bumps on my arm. They look a lot like bed bug bites. I have since cleaned out my room, vacuumed every crack and crevasse, and i have inspected everywhere i could think. There is no evidence of bed bugs on my mattress (ie fecal matter, shedded skin, other bed bugs, blood etc) or anywhere else. My mom is going out to buy some bed bug spray for my mattress today. My boyfriend has been staying in shelters until he is able to move in to his apartment. Is it possible it could have been only one bed bug that was transferred from the shelter by his clothes to my room? Or is it likely that in the time he spent in my room had infested it, or other parts of my house like the living room?

The only reason why I think this is because for the past week, everytime I’ve gone to lay down on my bed, I’m suddenly consumed by itchiness, and when I wake up I have welts and hives all over my body. I sometimes think that I feel them on me during the night. I haven’t seen any evidence of bed bugs and I don’t know how I could have contracted them. My mom thinks that this is all in my head, which could easily be the case. I just wanted to get someone else’s opinion.

For the past 3 or 4 weeks I have woken up with these mysterious bites that keep appearing every morning when I wake up. I thought they were mosquito bites that came from my bus stop every morning. So I just ignored it for a couple of days, but more and more came in. My cats also had the fleas at the time, but when my mom analyzed the bites, they were too big to be flea bites. Every morning I woke up, I would get more and more bites by the minute. That’s when I started wearing bug spray. I sprayed some on my body before I went to school, but the next morning more bites came in. I was shocked. Most of the bites appeared to be on my feet and ankles. My mom said if it’s not the fleas, they are bed bugs. I learned that bed bugs usually come in when you’re dirty. I don’t see how that’s possible because I take showers every day, and if I eat in my room, I’d pick up the food. So, I bombed my room twice, vacuumed my room and my mattress from head to toe, washed my sheets, and used bug spray, and absolutely nothing helped whatsoever. I even tried making my own bed out of clean pillows, sheets and a sleeping bag, and I lasted without bugs for only 2 days. After 2 days, they fed on me even in my clean pillows and sheets. How many tries does it take to kill these little bastards? Would changing the sheets work?

I am so sick and tired of waking up every morning with new bites! What do I do to kill them? Thank you.
My room is clean, I cleaned it like 5 times already!

I have just recently discovered I have a room that is home to bed bugs. I found tiny bed bug bites all over my body in various places. I want to get rid of these pests at once, not a hit and miss try. My mom has told me to wash all of my sheets, bedding, and my dog’s bedding. and to also vaccuum the entire room. Will this help? ive been informed that JUST washing the sheets and mattress (which she didnt suggest) isnt enough. Please help me!

Ever since a few years ago, I have had a huge phobia of bugs. Every type of bug you can think of, I’m scared of. I don’t know how or why it started, but it’s a pain in the butt.

Normally it hasn’t been much of a problem. If there’s a fly, wasp, or spider in the room I’ll still kill it. But…cockroaches. I can’t kill cockroaches. I am petrified of them. I know I’m way bigger of them and they can’t possibly harm me, but that doesn’t help.

I was in my bed when I noticed an odd shadow on my curtain (there’s a street light outside, so I can see a lot). I turned on the light and discovered that it was a cockroach. The window is right above my bed, so naturally I flew out of that room. I got the bug swatter (no spray; we’ve never had problems with bugs before – especially cockroaches) and went back to my room. I tried to face it, I really did, but every time I got near the thing fluttered its wings and started to fly. The thought of it flying at my face…I ran away and cried. I still am.

It’s been about an hour now, and I really need to get to bed. But the thought of going back there terrifies me. What should I do? The only solution I can think of is sleeping on the couch, but I won’t be able to go to sleep knowing that thing is in the house.
Matt: I thought of doing that, but my Dad has to wake up in two hours and my brother has to wake up in three. My Mom is just starting work on Friday, too, so…I guess I’ll just have to wait until my Dad gets up.

I’m always afraid to sleep in my OWN bed now !
Idk if these are bed bugs, but i lifted my covers up, and there were these 2 black tiny bugs.. I dont think they were ticks, bc these were smaller than a tick….. I have four cats and my oldest cat who hasn’t worn a flea collar in about 2 months, sleeps with me every night. He cuddles up to me and sleeps right next to me by my head. The other morning I woke up with about 6 bites between my neck and arm pit, and one underneath my chin. I have had flea bites before and they did not look like the ones I had. It has been 2 days and they are already going away. I cleaned my whole room from top to bottom and vacuumed my bed. The bites looked like bed bug bites from the pictures on the computer. Just to be safe, I slept on the couch. My cat slept with me again and cuddled up to me. He slept on the blanket during the day as well. When I woke up, i had 2 bites on my back and 2 on my hip. We put the frontline on him and he was sneezing and itching away. No one in my house is getting bit however. I’m just concerned because the first bites I got looked like bed bug bites but these current bites look like flea bites. What do you think I have? I don’t want to get a new mattress for no reason. When I inspected my bed, I did not see anything! No bed bugs or bed bug cases. When I washed my sheets, my mom said there were remnants of "flea dirt" in the sheets. I’m just a little worried from my initial bites because they did look like bed bug bites. What does everyone think? Thank you!

My sister gave me one of the baby aloe plant that her Mature plant sprouted about 8 weeks ago. It was very tiny and had some damage from my niece (she pinched one of the leaves). The plant is growing well (has about doubled in size). I gave it some Miracle Grow plant sticks, and when I was poking the hole to put the stick in I noticed an almost microscopic (we're talking smaller than a grain of salt) white bug pop to the surface run quickly and dive back into the soil. There aren't many ( i assume, as i watched for quite some time without seeing another) there is no damage to the plant, im not seeing any webs, or mold, or dust buildup, and I have searched through bugs on houseplants. My mom suggested spider mites, but when googling a picture of spider mites it doesn't look like that. What are they and how do I kill them without killing my plant?
