I've lived in this Apt. Complex for 11 years and never had a roach or bed bug problem until this year.?
Bed Bug Spray August 24th, 2011I talked with a professional exterminator and they said the problem will continue until they fumagate each building. I’m sick of fighting the problem. Someone please help. It’s also a Section 8 and Hud Complex. They just do an apartment if they find out they have bed bugs. The exterminatior said they will keep coming back until the buildings are done in completion of one building at a time. I’ve went out and bought bed bug spray myself. I can’t afford to live this way. It’s very unhealthy and unsanitary.

It sounds like you will have to move then to a place that meets your living standards.
HUD is not going to fumigate the building over this.

Organize some tenants and get a petition to manager to take care of problem
Bedbugs are hard to eradicate and if the problem is not addressed now, it may be unmanageable
It is your fellow tenants. . . .some are not clean. . . .some have brought in pests. . . . .the management did not create the problem

Unfortunately, when you live in multifamily housing your neighbors pests soon become your pests as well.
The pests probably came in with a new tenant. Who recently moved into your building? Since pests infest the walls, the exterminator is correct. The whole building needs to be treated.
If the property manager refuses to help, go over his or her head. Contact your local HUD office or Housing Authority.
Good luck

When you dealing with multiply units the trick is to isolate each unit and by seal all the cracks and crevices. Ask every body to regularly wash and clean. Then use an insecticide that leave residue to treat when you not spraying
