okay as clean of a person as i am, i got bed bugs and dont ask me how i dont even care i just want to get rid of them, i called the pest control 3times already n they are stilled not gone!!! they are eating me up, and i was wondering do they bite puppies too, cuz i have mini dog n they are very sensitive so i cant put poison around my house bside my mom took him for the week and i had time to put poison and all that crap to kill bed bugs n still nooo!! summer is coming n i dont want a buch of scars! do they leave scars to?? im soo desperate i heard ironing your clothes is a good idea im doing that to! but any more ideas plz this is horroble im gettin eaten by this nasty insect!

My cousin and I are staying in a hostel in Montreal over January and some reviews show that there have been bed bugs previously. How can we avoid getting bed bugs? Or kill them before we sleep? Help! These little creatures REALLY creep us out. hahahah.

I discovered bed bugs in our new home about a month ago, I went online and followed plenty of advice; how ever spraying 6 matresses with alcohol, vacumming everything and washing all bedding I am still finding a couple insects every few days.
I have 5 children and take pride in keeping their rooms in perfect condition. We don’t alow clutter in our house so why have we been infested by these horrible insects? What is safe to use around children and their matresses that will kill these bugs permanently?

Has anyone used the product by Spray Away called Good Night to kill bed bugs, I’ve called an exterminator however the treatment didn’t work completely so they’re coming out again, in the meantime is there a product to kill these lil m-fers!

Recently my family and I have returned from a cruise. However, i started recognizing a bed bug problem when i got 5 bites in one night. Over a week later, my family has gotten 5-10 each except me while i got one and it went away. i need to find answers to these 2 questions.

1. Can you gain immunity from bed bugs? I read it was true but wasn’t sure.

2. Are there any active ways besides calling an exterminator or any good products to treat bites and kill bugs? please provide links.

We recently found out that we have bed bugs, we thought they were ticks from the woods in our backyard. Anyway we bagged all material items washed what is needed for now, broke all bedrooms down, sprayed all hard surfaces(table joints, and chairs, etc.), everyday we spray baseboards, matresses, and carpet with 91% isopropyl alcohol. When I say spray, we are useing a continuous sprayer which puts out a continuous heavy stream. So we are actually saturating everything in alcohol. we have set up camp in our living room( its just nasty to sleep w/them) I need to know are we affecting them at all or just wasting time and money. By the way we cannot afford for the exterminator to do it, he said it was going to start at 0. So for you pros out there are we getting the job done?

My wife and I are having a problem that she keeps getting bitten by something when we are in bed. But it has not affected me as much as she has. She is about go crazy right now. I asked one of my friend who in the past experienced the same situation and he told me that it would be by bed bugs and I should contact some like pest control professional or something. At this present, I am kinda lost. in fact, I don’t know what to do. Perhaps I should have call the professionals but I kinda doubt it. I have bed bugs in my apartment, I have done my research and know the difference between bed bugs and dust mites. I have webmd’ the bites on the arm and they are also a match for bed bugs. My plan is to vacuum out all my carpet and closet and dust everything, then to use the Bayer advanced indoor insect spray. then to vacuum my mattress and clean it dry so it doesn’t get mold with 20 mule team borax. then bagging up the mattress and box spring with tight hypo-allergenic covers, then buy new sheets,pillowcases, and pillows, any ideas to make this better? I’m a college student living in my apartment so needless to say I’m not loaded with money so calling the exterminator or replacing the mattress are too pricey for me right now. My landlord won’t do it for me, I’ve asked several times. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I WANT THOSE BUGS DEAD!!

When we moved my partner’s bed and couch over from an old apartment building, which has now been torn down, we had not realized that the "bites" which I was getting were from bedbugs. We later found out that others in the "old" building had experienced even worse infestations within their units. I had seen a skin doctor -he thought it might be fleas; I also saw family doctor-she thought it was stress. A year ago, we moved the furniture into my home and since then, I have had a few bites, nothing compared to before. We have found bedbugs live and of course killed them, and continue to vacuum the bed, etc. Currently, we are doing a complete hot wash and inspecting the bed every day to get the live ones-also not using bed now. Short of costly extermination, I thought that if we apply bleach to the areas where there could be larvae, that this might kill "it" before it hatches. Compared to before, I rarely get bitten-they do seem to like me better. Any answers to this?

I just put my mattress and box spring outside on my deck (it is about 29 – 31 degrees F out right now), while we are washing our sheets and bedding on hot water/high heat dry. We are also vaccuming like crazy. Any bed bugs we may have missed, will the cold kill them? and if so, how long should we leave our stuff out there (an hour, a day, a week?!?!?)

I’ve read a few places that putting your furnitre out in the freezing weather for a "period of time" will help kill begbugs, but what the heck is a period of time???

Serious answers only, please!
