dealer who brought the car from a rental car place.One time i was in the car with my little brother and he saw a bug it looked nasty i killed it and then i saw the same bug 3 other times. the reason why im asking is because it looked like a bed bug so my question is can bed bugs be in your car and if so how do i get rid of them??????? We recently moved into this apartment I bought a brand spanking new bed that cost me well over 500 dollars and factory sealed, about a week later i get this strange itchy rash all over, and they still to this day 8 mos later appear more and more every night! we have told the manager several times about the issue and she has yet to do anything about it, I heard since i am having such severe reactions and since there are so many here that she should be responsible to kill the bugs, pull up the carpet and linoleum get them out of here and let us break the lease without it going against us. Is this true because something needs to be done i cant live like this much longer!

I had bed bugs on my bed and ended up throwing away the matress cause I tried the whole putting a matress cover on but that didn’t work and I have a carpet in my room so i’m sure they’re hiding in that too and they’re even on my little brothers bed(who shares the room with me) and in my older brothers bed who’s in the next room over but before I start vacumming every single spot I can is there any certain SURE WAY to kill them powder I can use to put all over the carpet instead of just vacumming cause we’re about to move from this apartment but I don’t want to bring them along

I’m hoping that Cyndy responds to this. Since bed bugs are almost everywhere, do pyrethrums have any effect (i.e., kill, or make them sick and move on)? If so, wouldn’t it be a wonderful idea for someone to invent a sheet of material that could be infused with pyrethrum that would go between the box springs and the mattress? Think of all those sales to motels, who could advertise that they have it!!!

I lay in bed and a few minutes later I have little raised mosquito type bites on my arms and legs that itch like crazy. I don’t see anything at all. No bed bugs. No fleas. I even bombed the room with Raid that is supposed to kill pretty much everything but that didn’t work. I’m going crazy. help!

So after travelling through europe for three weeks in hostels, the very last hostel we stayed at was infested with bed bugs. I only saw about three bugs, but I’m sure there are plenty hiding in the mattresses – after seeing all the bites on my body.

When I got home I sealed all my belongings in bags and kept it in the garage. I had clothes ready in bags to throw into the washing machine (hot water). After the wash I put them in the dryer for 60 minutes on the highest setting. I decided to put it for another 50 minutes on high just to be sure there are no bugs. Is this enough to kill the bed bugs? I hope I don’t bring them into my room…

and as for my backpack I haven’t cleaned it yet, it’s still sealed. I was thinking of pouring hot boiling water all over the bag and also scrubbing zippers and crevices with soapy water, and more boiling water. Is this enough?

I think I may have bed bugs. I’ve had horrible itching, doctor thought it was scabies and Ive used medicine.I still have itching. I think I may have saw one in one of my books (not sure if it was a bed bug or another bug) and I killed it. I have not seen any in my bed so I’m not sure if I do. I have a bunk bed but I never use the top mattress. Can they still spread to the top bunk? (If I have them that is)

Alright, as many of us are aware, in the past few years, bed bugs have been on the rise in epidemic proportions in America. Unfortunately for me, I have them. Yeah, it’s gross.
I’m sure it’s bed bugs, I’ve done tons of research, and seen/killed them on my bed.
On the internet, websites suggest to keep the area clean and free of clutter, but that wont help me because my area is absolutely spotless. I barely have furniture! And I am the living anti-clutter. Anyways…

The websites say that the University of Florida have come up with the simple idea of using a controlled heat evironment containing the affected furniture.
But that got me to thinking. Experts also say that putting your clothes in the dryer will give off enough heat to kill the bugs.
So… why not just crank up the heat in the house?

And I don’t mean just turn on the heat.
Monday is going to be 100 degrees here. What if I turned the A/C off and turned the heat on? All the way, with the fan on, so it will continue to blow even after the thermostat reaches 100 degrees. I’m throwing my bed away, too. Obviously, this poses some kind of risk, right? I guess I can unplug almost everything, and take out all of the aresol cans and things of melty nature. Is this really a bad idea or am I really thinking the right way? I have no idea if I’m crazy due to just wanting to get rid of them so badly and avoiding the rental office and exterminator drama that will ensue at my apartment, or if this can actually work and I’m somewhat smart. =)

So I guess to sum up my questions, I want to know if you guys think it will work, and if you guys think it’s totally safe or unsafe.

Tony, if you had read what I wrote, you would have found that I am throwing away my whole bed. And what do you even mean by, "you cant get rid of bed bugs". Simply throwing the bed away isn’t going to get rid of them, I don’t know what YOU think. But, anyhow, what I wrote really wasn’t that long, and if it seems long to you, then you’re not the kind of person I want even answering my question anyway.
Steven, that is kind of what I feared. You’re right… the air might be unbearable, but the actual walls and furniture and such probably wont get that hot. …. =/

Is it possible to sue my neighbors for bed bugs ? Recently my house was raided with bedbugs and all my tenants got bites from bedbugs. They had to throw away their mattress, rugs, and other expensive items. My tenants and other neighbors are pointing fingers to my next door landlord in my block because he keeps his house in horrible condition and puts his garbage with no lid. Apparently this landlord had bed bugs before but tried to kill the bed bugs using commercial products ( I was told by one of his tenants). I hired a bed bug exterminator today and that sh*t cost A LOT! I was wondering if there is any way to prove that it is his fault my house is raided ?

My girlfriend found dead bed bugs after we had been getting bitten at night. She vacuumed, washed the bedding in hot water, dryed bedding in hot dryer, and sprayed isopropyl alcohol on everything in the bedroom. Hi, Recently I have discovered myself getting biten by some kind of insect while I was sleeping since about the beginning of this year. The biten place became red, and it itchs and kind of hurts like a flea bite, however, there is no animals in my house. I accuse it was bed bugs because I mostly discovered the itchy-ness after I woke up.
I caught a flea ONCE in my dining room, which was the ONLY time that my other family member got biten. Other than that, none of my other family members got biten so I accuse it is in my room, so I don’t know if that was related to this.
I tried to change my bed sheet, and bug-sprayed my whole room. The biting disappeared for a month or two and it begin all again. It already re-happen 3 times and now I am afraid to sleep in my room.
What bug could be biting me, and how in the world am I going to kill these darn bugs for good?
Oh and, all the rooms in my house have carpet installed except the dining room and the kitchen
if it is laundry detergent, wouldn’t I got it all over my body? These itchy-pains are mainly on my legs and ankle. there was only one time that went on my body.
Plus, what would it look like if it was the laundry detergent?
Actually now that I think about it, I am NOT SURE if it is bug bites or not. I have NEVER caught any blood-sucking bugs in my room.
