I used suspend sc all over my house but it seems like all it did was make the bugs come out of hiding. If it works, how long does it take to start working? Or what might work better?

How can I treat new delicate clothes "made in China" with glitter/strass stones in order kill bed bugs? I’m afraid to put them into a dryer (glue might dissolve) or wash them very hot…?

I have often bought used flannel sheets from Thrift Stores but now am concerned with the bed bug issue. They have arrived in the city in which I live. I want to know if anyone can advise me about how to prevent them. Do I stop buying clothing and bedding from thrift stores? Or can I keep the merchandise in bags in the cold night air overnight killing any? Does heat (from a clothes dryer) or freezing cold kill bed bugs that maybe present? I don’t know if heat or cold kills them.

I used the bug spray thing where you spray the room close the door and leave for about 3 hours but now its been 3 weeks and there back..Anyone? I kill them everytime i see them but there inside my computer, on my bed, on the ceiling, on the walls, its really frusterating..

When I was little, about 6 years old, we had many neighbors friends that had kids also. We played with them and hung out together. One weekend my family and I went away for the weekend, which was pretty typical. When we got beck from this excursion, it was at night and when I went to go to bed I pulled back the sheets and there was a cricket my bed! I called for my Dad and told him there was a bug in my bed, so he killed it and got rid of it, and then he told me to go to bed, and to not worry there were not any more bugs. Then as I pulled back the sheets some more there were 10 little black crickets all bunched up together in the middle of my bed.
How did those crickets get in my bed and where do you think they came from? I never though about that experience for sometime, but now I am thinking that maybe neighbors had placed them there. I was a very pretty little girl and maybe they were spiteful. I was a good, polite and kind little girl. What do you think happened and or where or how did those crickets get into my bed? I and my family are still friends with the neighbors. I don’t think they would fess up to braking and entering into to our home to do this. What is your opinion?
Please no insulting comments, I find this disturbing. Don’t you? I thought these people were our friends! What do you make of it? Is it possible for all those crickets to get under my well made bed, under sheets, blankets and a bed spread?

okay, i should give some background cause dreams are of the subconscious mind. i don’t exactly have a home. and im having trouble shortening my life already and i havent even started. i dont live with my parents, i havent lived with my mom since i was 9 and i havent lived with my dad since i was 14. ever since then i have lived in foster homes and programs and dss. just a few years back i lived with my moms old best friend. i was very close to her so felt like a mom to me but it became a dependent abusive relationship where she made me do everything for her and mentally and emotionally abused me. so on july 4th of last summer i finally left her. ever since then i felt like i havent had a home. im 19 now. i live with my aunt but im never home. all my stufff is basically in thee back hallway and the rest is in my cousins room. and when i sleep at home i sleep in his bed and he sleeps on the couch. he bugs me about wanting his room back all the time. so i stay at my boyfriends house 6 nights a week. my boyfriend is the best thing thats ever happened to me. i love him so much and we mutually want to be together forever. i know things dont usually last forever but our relationship is the only strong solid thing we both have in our lives. our year anniversary is coming up on december 9th. anyways, we both are trying to get an apartment together soon. i have a job at target but im not sure if im gonna keep it after the holidays. he has a minimum wage job too. but i also get triple the money he makes cuz i get dss money every 2 weeks. i make about 1300 a month. and he makes 800. like i said im bad at shortening my life.
the dream: i was at his house but it wasnt really his house. but it was suppose to be. and i went to go lie down in bed. not our bed, his moms bed. and after laying in bed for a few minutes, i realized there were all dead cockroaches, well so i thought they were cockroches. i got up and brushes them all off me. they felt so like hard, like little pieces of rock stuck to me. then theyre was one cockroach, which im sure was a cockroach alive. i had to get that off of me too. i started screaming and flipping out.to who, i dont actually know. that wasnt important in the dream. then a bug that looked like a small spider but with really long skinny legs (not as long as a daddy long legs) flew over to me and planted a chip under my skin. it had almost like a sneaky government feeling. like i was being controlled or watched by someone. cuz someone had to be behind the "chip." then i woke up.
i was and am still very very disturbed. i cant shake off the sensation of bugs being on me or on the bed. im so disgusted and i know this has to mean something. when i searched what cockroaches looked like, the dead bugs were no cockroaches, but that one alive one was. im not very good at bugs or how they look different from each other. i just know if its a bug, kill it. so all the dead cockroaches were actually dead grasshoppers. so what does this mean? if anyone can help?

we just discovered that we have bed bugs – ugh! everything that i have read indicates that you must get an exterminator to get rid of the bugs; however, we have newborn and i am very afraid to use pesticides in our apartment for that reason – we spend 24hrs a day here. not to mention, i have a brother with autism so i am very fearful of damage that can happen to a child when they are developing. please help! how can we kill bedbugs without harming my newborn?

My neice seem to have gotten a weird rash with bumps all over her arms, and it slowly spread to some other parts of her body. Well about a day later my son got bumps all over his arms and it slowly spread to some other body parts. About two days after that, my husband got bumps all over his body but they vary how they look, they look like mosquito bites but all over his arms, and some look kinda like small pimples, and my sons look that way too. I took them both to the hospital and they said they all got chicken pox. Well then a day after my husband got it, I got it, I have bumps all over my arms and it’s slowly spreading to other parts of my body. Now I believe they are bed bugs bites because we recently moved into a new home and about a week ago when we woke up in our room we saw some bed bugs crawling on the walls and when we killed them they were full of blood. Now it does look like chicken pox but it also looks like bed bugs and it’s kinda a coincidence that we all got it this way (oh and the neice lives with us with her mom, and her mom doesn’t have it), I know the pox travel by air but still if anyone could tell me a difference then I might be able to figure out what is going on.

ok so yesterday i woke up with 4 bumps on my arm which i thought were mosquito bites but then they were raised higher than mozzie bites and looked a little more red. i decided it wasnt anything to worry abt and then i saw an adult bed bug crawling on my WHITE bed sheet. u can imagine my horror! i managed to smash it in a tissue and the stuff that came out was brown not red. i looked around the bed for more bgs but cant seem to find any. i’ve slept on the bed 2 times since then and i’ve had no new bites. is it possible that it’s only 1 bed bug that was present and i killed it?

i’m not very rich and really can’t afford to get exterminators plus my room is really cluttered and it’s going to be a nightmare to clean EVERYTHING. Please don’t reply with scary answers. I hated sleeping on the bed the last 2 times ( an afternoon nap and one over night) but since nothing has showed up on my bed or on my skin…. is it safe to assume that it was just one bug? i feel itchy just thinking abt them.

I had bed bugs since a year ago. i did not notice them since july of 2010. I tried cleaning the house by sweeping, watching sheets and spraying chemicals but they are still there. i kill like 50 everyday and they don’t seem to decrease numbers. i believe they are sucking at least a liter of my blood every week . I called the bug exterminator and after spraying chemicals he told me not to stay in the house for 3 days until the chemical effect is done. i waited in my friends house for three days and when i return they are still some left. i bought new mattress, bed sheets and pillows and they still there. man, why aren’t they disappearing. one night in the middle of the night i found 5- 10 of them in my legs sucking my blood. i got up and seek to stay in my friends house. i mean they are found in my bed room living room and kitchen. What? do i have to now move out to different apartment for them to get off my house? Any bed bugs experts out there. man they are the worst bugs in the world. i wished i had mice or roaches instead of them. can you please give me advise?

I seem to have lots of bugs in my room and I can’t stand little things crawling around especially spiders. I was watching a movie and I spotted one right by my laptop and I freaked! I scratched up my arm really bad on the bed jerking it away. Ever since I saw pictures of racluse bites I’ve been freaked out. Don’t know if that’s how you spell it. But anyways I live in a very small dorm room and what do you guys recommend to get rid or kill most of them? what to do?

My uncle was living with a roommate a few months ago. His roommate brought stuff in the house that was from the garbage. My uncle ended up with an infestation of bedbugs, fleas, earwigs…weather it was from the things brought from the garbage or from neighbors of the apartment building he was in I am not sure. The roommate moved out but bugs were left behind. The management had his unit fumigated twice, other apartments were also fumigated. But the first time did not work, he got fumigated a second time. After the second time my uncle was still complaining he was getting bit, this after him throwing out his bed, couch and lots of other furniture. My uncle was getting real stressed out to the point of break down. He was sleeping on crates because he had no money to buy another bed. I opened my home up to him and he moved in here temporarily with nothing but the clothes on his back. The things he does still have are in storage at a storage facility because I did not want to risk getting any type bugs in my home. We moved my teenage daughter to an upstairs bedroom and let my uncle move into the renovated basement we built this past spring. There were never any bugs there because it was built for my daughter and she never complained.

About 4-5 days after he moved in he started saying he was getting bit. In bed and while sitting on the couch down there. My husband and I were not very happy because we did see the bites, it kind of looked like a mosquito bite. 3 days in the row he would tell us this and we checked his bed, looked for all the signs of bed bugs and didn’t see anything. Looked everywhere turned everything over, box spring and all and did not find a thing. Then we checked the couch and did the same and did not find a thing. But then we were thinking since we didn’t find signs of bedbugs maybe it’s fleas which are much harder to find and smaller. We used bug sprays, vacuumed, tonnes of laundry, it worked for a day or two but then he started saying he was getting bit again. So I looked on google and with my research found something called Food Grade Diatomaceous earth. It is safe for humans and pets but is razor like for bugs, cuts them then dehydrates them. We sprinkled that stuff everywhere downstairs. We used ALLOT of it. Left it there for 4 days then vacuumed. There is still some on his bed and in the carpet just not as much. He is still complaining of bites, and we do see the bites on him. We looked again for signs of bedbugs, still nothing. I am at my witts end. How can you kill a bug if you don’t know what you are trying to kill? My husband and I spend our evenings down in the basement with my uncle and do some catching up with him and enjoy his company once our children are in bed. We never got bit or feel anything. I have asked my children if they have felt bites or anything they all have said no. I have asked my visitors and they have said no. I would think it’s all in his head and he was imagining things because of the bad infestation he had and lived with for months, but that would not make sense because I have seen his bites. One person mention to me that it could be scabies. I am not sure exactly what scabies is and isn’t it catchy? He has lived here almost a month now and we are all fine. My uncle is going out of his mind now and seems like he starting to go into a depression because of all of this.

I have a cat and he has no fleas at all, both my husband and I checked him more than once.

Does anyone have clue on what kind of bugs this can be? Is it my uncle who has bugs or my house? Please help.

I’m not sure if he can survive any type of machine washing or drying, but how else can I kill possible bed bug eggs? Sealing him in a plastic bag seems possible, but I’ve read that bed bugs take forever to die (they’re eggs are hardy too). Any personal experiences or suggestions with washing plush dolls would be helpful.

Please help! I’ve caught fleas from going to my friends house that was infested with fleas and now they are in my room. I saw those little suckers on my sock and they jump off so fast and now every time i wake up i have at least 3-5 flea bites on skin. I’m really frustrated, what should i do i’ve heard of the bug bomb but what should i do with my bed, clothes, and everything else if i was to bomb the place? Any advise would help.

The beds in the house is nothing like the ones I see in pictures. It’s nice and covered and when I look through the bed and the seams, there’s really nothing. I don’t see any dirty places. Just once I saw a bed bug crawling and I killed it, but I never seen it. Yet, I get tons of bits. I got three on my leg, two on my arm, and 2 on my face.

We fogged our house yesterday.. And I got those bites when I woke up. It is said that the bites can appear after 1-2 days but also my brother got 6 in his leg.

Is there a way? How did you get rid of it?!?!

Ok, so I was taking a nap in my bed, when all of a sudden I felt something crawling on my hand. When I looked, I screamed (lol, I’m VERY afraid of bugs) and I shook it off my hand. I got up and it landed on my pillow so I started to look for my glasses so I could see it and get rid of the bug. Welll, I couldn’t find my glasses so I ran outside to my dad. He was talking to my neighbor so I waited, and when we finally went back in my room it was gone.
Anyway, we couldn’t find it, and right now I’m cleaning up my room.

What could the maggot-like thing be? It was sorta fat, not very long (about a centimeter), orange-ish-white and I don’t think it could fly. Oh, btw, I do eat in my room, it’s really hot in here (although I have the ceiling fan on), and it’s sorta messy, because I’m in the process of "reorganizing" my room.

What could this bug be and how can I prevent more from hatching? And also, how can I kill or lure the bug(s) away naturally? Any advice is great.
oh, btw, I only saw one.

also, I saw a fruit fly (or gnat?? those little flies with the red centers) in my room because my mom threw out some bananas and my sister left my door open so it got in…. If that means anything…

I usually at night wear those invisible braces… in the morning I am too sleepy to clean it up so I usually wait until night to wash it again. I leave it in its box. Tonight, when I went to clean it. I found a bug in it.. i am terribly scared of bed bugs and I am not sure how they look even though I went through the pictures, it was kinda brown and long and water didn’t kill it. I don’t know where he went but inside the box I found a brown big poop (like an apple seed poop). It almost looked like a rock and I had to cut it with my nails to let it crumb a little bit. I am so scared. Is it just a bug (I left the box near my make up boxes…full of stuff) or it could be a bed bug leaving is shit? please let me know. I dont have any problems at night, I just saw it tonight.

i have a couch with some type of bugs on it i cant see anything and it looks like its normal. Once you sit on it u start getting bitten and feel all itchy its not bed bugs because its been checked for that before. Today as I was cleaning a wound on my leg, i noticed a little grey/black beetle sort of bug, so I flicked it off, i looked where it landed and there was about 4 near my window (not on the window, still on the floor)
So I kill them, I then look at another part of the floor and I notice another, I keep looking and found 2 more hiding under my wardrobe ect. I then decide it’s best to hoover up and keep a few on the floor so I can show my parents later, I’ve just went under my bed, which I used to store all my crap (books, magasines, old boxes, along with alot of dust and a few tiny bits of food and sand which got swept under there over the years) and I hoovered under there and i found more! I’ve not found any so far on my walls or my bed, I’ve checked for bed bugs and nothing, looked at the different types of carpet beetles and none of them look like them! They look like a lady bug but half the size with a black shell and little grey patterns on it, and they crunch when they get squished lol! Any idea as to what they could be and how to get rid of them? Will they crawl on me when I’m sleeping? None of my fabrics are damaged whatsoever, my bed sheets and pillows had none on,

I’m getting a double bed soon and that means I have a chance to clear all the crap from under my bed and get rid of the bastards, the new bed won’t be able to have things underneath it either, so how can I get rid of them??

PS: I have wooden floors and as far as I know, I have little to no fabric under my bed…

I just moved into an apartment in Denver/Glendale less than a week ago. I signed a six month lease. The lease does not cover pest control. Here is what I’ve been through: killed 25+ roaches within my first three days here. Thursday my apartment was sprayed, but I found and killed nine later that night.
I have bed bug bites on my leg, arm, chest, and even my face.

Management tried to say I brought these with me, but I had to look roaches up to see what they even looked like. I have never had bed bugs. I don’t feel remotely comfortable living here, and upon speaking with management/other tenants this is an ongoing problem that isn’t going to be fixed.

When I was being shown the apartment it was during the daytime, and I was told there were "a few bugs from time to time", not PESTS. I realize I should have asked, but I am not experienced with this.

Is this considered a breach of lease? If not, how would I get out of my lease and not pay the fees?

Is it psychological or physical?

A few months ago I discovered a poisonous spider, a brown recluse, in my bed. I killed it. But ever since then with the knowledge poisonous spiders are living in my bedroom, I’ve been experiencing crazy things.

It doesn’t help I found a spider crawling on the couch weeks later the incident, either.

It even came down to a couple times when I get up and go to the kitchen or restroom and I hallucinate swarms of gnats are flying EVERYWHERE around me, and moments later disappear. They don’t scare me since I know it’s an illusion, but it’s still freaky.

I always feel a twinge of PAIN or an intense itch as if a spider is biting me or if some other bug is biting me. I also feel like bugs are CRAWLING on me.

I feel a "bite" on my arm, and nothing is there. Just the feeling of getting bitten by invisible bugs.

I get "bitten" everywhere. Particularly my legs, back, arms, and chest. I actually was bitten by an ant when I woke up one morning, but that’s long taken care of.

How do I get rid of this problem? Am I psychologically disturbed? I’m just tired of being "bitten" and "crawled on" by non-existant bugs!!! >_<

lol, ok so last night my sister and I went to sleep and we were talking about scary bug stories; next thing you know there is a tick in her bed!! We’re total city girls so it was a hasel to fall asleep since we both were panicing about any other bugs inside of the guest bedroom. Ever since then, I’ve been losing a lot of sleep and I even spent a whole day (I should have been studying for my Algebra test! I ended up getting a 48!) looking up information about bed bugs. Every night or in my case, morning (I usually go to sleep between 2-4:30am) I spray my pillow, mattress, pillowcase, covers, between my mattress and box spring, curtains, and in little holes around my window with 91% alcohol. I usually end up using anywhere from 20-30 oz. of alcohol every morning! The fumes are no joke, but I’ve survived them so far, thank God! Luckily, I haven’t been bit, but I feel like I’m over doing it. Before I spray, I always do a through inspection of everything I listed above and I haven’t seen anything. How hazardous are the alcohol fumes? I heard that bed bugs don’t like borax and I thought about putting some between my mattress and box spring. Do you think that will decrease my need for the excessive amounts of alcohol I’ve been using? Also, I just read that taking vitamin B1-B-Complex could keep them and other bugs at bay…I wonder if this really works! With the exception of calling an exterminator (I REALLY DON’T HAVE THE MONEY), I want to know if you could give me additional ideas on keeping them at bay. Thanks so much for your time and effort in advance! I got the alcohol idea from my cousin. They had bed bugs in their apartment building and they sprayed everthing down with alcohol and they haven’t had any ever since!

its actually in my baby’s room..she sleeps in the crib tho but this bed is in her room as well..i had just taken out the bed sheet from it like a week bak..n today wen i was changing my baby..i found these lil tiny black bugs..they’r not even tht noticeable..thts how tiny they are..i just saw them moving here n there..i killed the ones tht i found rite there by smacking them..but i need to kno wat they are and how do i get rid of them from my mattress??
cuz im afraid watever these r..there may be more..n probly some laid eggs too!! the mattress is not even old at all..i bot it last yr in may…plz help!! thanku
ok again my daughter’s crib is in tht room and also another bed..the bugs tht i found are not in my babies crib..i found these bugs on the other bed’s mattress

okay, well this morning, i brushed my teeth, washed up and then came back to my room and BAM, there was a cricket thing on my wall next to my bed. It wasn’t really a cricket since it didn’t make any chirping sounds, but i don’t know. well, i call my mom to kill it but when she got there, the bug disappeared(this happens to me like ALL the time).
and now it’s in my room somewhere(there’s actually 2 bugs, but i’ll figure the 2nd bug out later)
I have a messy room, so i’m definatly cleaning my room once every week if it makes the bugs go away. now the real problem is, I will NOT sleep in my room until i know that those two bugs are DEAD. i mean, i had school and stuff so the bug could’ve crawled its way out of my room by now, but how am I going to find it? How can i attract them so I can kill it in one shot? Will food do? Or lights?
oh yeah, and I’m deathly afraid of bugs. I hate hate HATE them. D:
